Last night, snow mixed with rain.

This morning, my car was encased in frost.

It _is_ Spring, right? :)

edit: incidentally, I'm most weirded out by it because we had 70 degree weather not long ago. It may be normal to have fluxuation in New England in Spring (and Fall), but this really does seem to be a bit much. Also, it was snowing here a few minutes ago.

Yep, and on the opposite coast, we had sleet yesterday (I don't _think_ it was hail.) and yesterday the car was covered with ice. How odd...

At least we're getting some of the water we missed over the winter. We're building up some of a snow cap even though it is spring...

Huh! I don't generally expect snow or similar on the west coast, regardless of the season.

Weeeeird.

That's the nice bit about Seattle. Having to deal with snow is rather a rarity but drive an hour and we have a selection of snow resorts. Those snow resorts are feeling a bit odd since they're doing more business now than they did over the winter. If it keeps up, that should be "the whole winter".

That is a new england spring.

True. I think I'm more aware of it now, though, perhaps due to having heightened awareness of the winter this past winter.

You'd think I'd be used to it, having grown up in New England!

Sometime we just need a break and get some warm sun on our skins.

Also, I point at the smiley. I _do_ realize it's normal for here. :)

I agree! Although, for a bit there, we _did_ have a freakishly warm Spring. :)

I know, but i'm greedy and I want to get my planting out of the way. I just do not want to drop money on plants that are going to freeze to death. However if I should move to area that had warm weather 24/7, i would go nuts.

It's the New England, silly. I'm even used to it now and I haven't been here long!

True. But notice the smiley. :)

Yeah, it was a little surreal driving though it, driving through light rain to suddenly driving through light snow then back to rain just as suddenly. I don't usually experience the transition as discreetly as that. At one point I saw a band of snow appearing out of the rain and my eyes locked on to the individual falling, drifting flakes. A brief moment of wonder... then I had to pay attention to the road.

*smile* Yeah, I have the 'ooooh! Want to look at that!' 'Must pay attention to road' problem often.

We were SUPPOSED TO HAVE severe thunderstorms here last night, the sure sign of spring in the Midwest. But they wimped out and all we got was a bit of drizzle. And now our 80-degree days of the weekend have been replaced with crisp blue sky and upper 40's today.

But... SOON!

I want thunderstorms! Want _now_!

Ehem.

Sadly, I'm not in a part of the country that gets them often.

Hee!

I don't know what I'd do without our storms. I'm completely in love with them and get sad when they blow us off like last night. Unfortunately it looks like in a couple of years we'll be moving to one of the coasts, and I'll have yet another long distance relationship on my hands.
