nurture a small handful of close friendships -- and even those are with people who can deal with my energy.
And I suspect this is a large part of who I can become close to. They have to be - among other things - people who I can read, and people who can cope with the fact that my energy fluxuates wildly, especially in the wintertime.
I don't have a lot of oomph for running around pursuing.
Sometimes, I do. But mostly I don't, especially now that I know _so_ many people.
