[food] How... odd.

In a 'what the hell?' kind of way, I've found myself actively craving steak lately (a few months).
Now, I'm not a vegetarian, and have never been. Beef was, however, never something I particularly wanted until recently. I have no idea what to do with this, really.

Probably won't get around to it until after Joe's gone, if that matters.

Date: 2005-01-28 06:11 pm (UTC)Quite possibly, but I do tend to take iron when I'm having my period. Perhaps I've been less good about that of late or something...

Those are applied before cooking? As a marinade, perhaps?

Date: 2005-01-29 01:25 am (UTC)As for the iron, your iron needs may have changed recently. You can also try eating spinach, or something.
My family, we have the opposite problem, too much iron in the blood. I had a relative with cirrhosis of the liver from it, and the doctors kept insisting that he must be a drunk. *dramatic eyeroll*

And yes, on the listening to it, but it's a _lot_ more often than it ever used to be! :)

Date: 2005-01-28 09:05 pm (UTC)Get meat, bell peppers (red are best in my opinion), and onion. Chop into little bits. Cook together over a very high flame, along with a generous glop of chili powder or hot sauce or whatever spicy things might make you happy. Put it all in tortillas with the toppings of your choice (I usually put tomato, cilantro, cheese, and sour cream) and consume.
