So, due to insane amounts of snow in Boston (my boss said something like 27 inches in Andover), we are stuck in Baltimore for an extra day.

When we checked the flight this morning (not, BTW, something I generally do), it was canceled. And, when I tried to get it rescheduled, the only available spaces were on a flight leaving fairly late tonight, and not from the airport we came in on. Since that would have made me thoroughly useless for work anyway, we ended up choosing a flight tomorrow morning. Apparently - again according to my boss - Logan was completely closed yesterday, and for part of this morning. No _wonder_ nothing was available today!

2 _feet_ of snow?!

This weekend has been good - even though I was not as social as I might have liked. Kept having 'exhausted due to people' problems. Ah, well. 'Tis the season for that for me! Many shiny people. :)

I enjoyed meeting you. The snow in NY was manageable.

I only sorta remember meeting you, but then I'm _really_ bad at remembering first meetings of people, usually. But I'm glad the NY snow was reasonable!

Can you stop going out of town and making snowstorms for the rest of us?

Hee! It's not on purpose!

Besides, there's a storm tomorrow, and I'll be around for it! ;)

Three feet in some of the coastal towns. Much fun. It tapered off to the North and West of Boston.

Say, I like the new layout for your LJ. I might have put the links in a different color, say green, and the components on the left, but that's just me. :)

I thought about changing some of the colors, and moving stuff around, but was lazy. It's actually an available theme, and not one I made up myself.

Yes, I know. I recognized it. I was being a bit silly. My LJ layout is based on the same theme with the minor tweaks I mentioned.

I was wondering whether the two of you would be stuck... I'm just glad that the con wasn't in Boston this past weekend.

The con you went to the previous weekend, you mean?

Yeah. It would've been very bad, particularly since we [me and roommates] may not have been able to even cross the street to the conference. And I definitely would've missed some of the panels, freebies, and the flight home.

True! But you could, perhaps, have worn different shoes for the outside portion?

And I definitely would've missed some of the panels, freebies, and the flight home.

Yeah, but flights were delayed and canceled anyway; that would have just meant they rescheduled things (although it would possibly also have meant you missed classes and such, as well?).

Oh, I wasn't meaning shoes, but whether the street was passable.

Some of the panels were in hotels a few blocks away; they could've been difficult to reach. No, I doubt I would've missed classes... I gave myself some leeway with that. :)

Oh, ah. Right. :)

oh, yes. much with the snow. heck, I got snowed in, all of 6 miles from my house! Long periods of police strongly discouraging driving and big snow drifts in the T stateions and suchlike.

wow! Getting snowed in that close to home must have been crazy!

There was definitely some irony involved in being only six miles or so from my house, but they declared a state of emergency in both Boston and the state and thus there was no non-emergency/essential driving allowed except for a few hours on Sunday afternoon. There were police discouraging people from leaving the hotel and everything!

Wow. That's crazy. I hope it was at least _fun_ to be trapped with lots of people?

It was a treat to meet you, even if we didn't have much opportunity to actually talk to each other, and I really enjoyed your contributions to the panels we were both involved in!

Much with the ditto on this! I actually saw much less of most people than I'd have liked, but considering the degree to which I reacted to having been as social as I was (among other things) today, I think I was probably at about my max capacity for this time of year. Perhaps if I make it to the next one that'll be better! (I certainly intend to, mind, but we shall see)

I really enjoyed your contributions to the panels we were both involved in!

Oh, neat! I was having trouble determining how much sense I was making most of the time, so this is useful information. :)

From what I remember of the comments you tended to be making, I spent an awful lot of time nodding vigorously in agreement. Much goodness, there!
