Well, I have no experience with how quiet you are. If you discreet enough and don't type indicative things into IM, you should be fine. Then again, I am just a little bit of an exhibitionist and might be projecting. :)
Somehow I'm picturing the surprised looks on your co-workers faces if this were to happen. I could just see you responding with something like, "uhm, I was just really happy to finish solving this problem. Really."
