Has wandered from "Winter Woods" (peter mayer) to "Magic" to "When I Was a Boy" (Dar Williams) to "Suzanne" (Lenard Cohen) to "China" (Tori Amos) today. Probably others, too, but I didn't notice them. :)

Perhaps I should have music playing! (starts WUMB's streaming radio on XMMS)


Totally unrelated, there were penguins wandering around my desktop yesterday at work. They were highly distracting and I kept accidentally killing them (my movements tend to be just as abrupt using the mouse as when using larger muscle movements. You know, what with my oft interesting lack of coordination, I have no idea how I massage, ever. Then again, I only massage well if I'm not distracted, so....), so I turned them off fairly quickly.

Are you a fan of Peter Gabriel? He does the most beautiful version of "Suzannne" on a Leonard Cohen tribute album and Tori Amos does a cover of "Famous Blue Raincoat" that makes you ache to listen to.

And penguins huh? I'm going to see my penguins again at the aquarium this Friday. Haven't done any work there in about a month so it'll be fun! Yes, I'll spend 5 hours in 55 degree water but I get to play with actual penguins and that's pretty cool :)
I'll try not to kill any of them though...

I am amused to note that your work with penguins is the _only_ thing I remembered about you from our previous meetings. :) Good to not kill them, yes.

And I have no idea if I like Peter Gabriel or not, but I _do_ like Tori.
