Feeling like posting some lyric snippest that regularly please me...

"[...] his words have no wings" -Dar Williams, "Mark Rothko Song"

"[...] did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?" -Train, "Drops of Jupiter"

"[...] the sun poured in like butterscotch and stuck to all my senses", -Joni Mitchell, "Chelsea Morning"

And, either now is a good time to have weird dreams, or I forgot to give an option for the possibility that one's dreams are no different than normal and y'all _normally_ have weird dreams. :) (or, well, both)

I love all three of those songs. #2 hits me kind of hard sometimes though - I still love the song, but it gets me all emotional (in the lingering pain of lost love kind of way).

"Baby crossed an ocean
just to see what she could see
had the world beneath her feet
a rose between her teeth
Spent a lifetime loving,
Spent a lifetime living fine.
Since she broke her heart
She needs a little time, a little time...

If all we were
were memories then
I guess that we'd be fine,

Shooting stars still break her heart
and sunsets make her cry
Watch the birds fly overhead
you can catch them if you try
Watch the planes fly overhead,
you can catch them if you try.

2 stones in my pocket girl,
I keep them for my dreams
I give them both to you now
'cause you need them more than me."

hit "post" before I meant to. This song is one of my favorites and happened to be playing as I read your post and I thought I'd share!
Right then :) Off to bed.

I actually love the entire Mark Rothko Song and particularly that verses. In fact, I *heart* Dar Williams.

I also heart Dar Williams! :)

There are far more lyrics I could have posted, but those were actually playing or had been earlier in the day.

Dar Williams will always have a delighted place in my heart for doing "When I was a Boy". That song made a man cry (a friend of mine) who hadn't cried since he was 15 and his mom had died. He was 43 at that time...

As for lyrics, is it cheating to mention lyrics from friends? They are published and all:

Gaia Consort/Family (http://www.christopherbingham.com/family.html):
Love defines it's boundaries
Limitless shapes, countless forms
I have vowed that when it comes to me I'll take it
Every manifestation, I'm gonna celebrate it

Dar Williams & "When I Was a Boy": adore that song. Oh, yes.

Lyrics from friends cheating: No, why would it be? And nifty song!
