+Antibiotics. Only have to take them for 5 days (well, assuming that they work...).
-Exhausted due to antibiotics, the sinus infection they are fighting, and insufficient sleep
-hurt my foot due to too much driving Sunday (not entirely sure how I did this)
+My foot's getting better! I'm mostly not limping anymore.
-Intensely wanted socialization last night, but unwilling to try to cope with Diesel or drive anywhere
-not having friends who live near enough to me, nor knowing if anyone would be available with such little notice anyway
+calling [livejournal.com profile] starandrea in order to be at least somewhat social
+phone calls actually being a positive enough thing (with specific people) that it helped my radomly wanting socialness
+putting plastic on more of my windows in order to keep heat in
-Staying up till 11pm because of being obsessive about window plasticification
+hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] nex0s Friday night
+going-away party after that, Friday night
-unlikely to get enough sleep Friday night, which is bad while sick. And getting to the party kinda late makes me nervous.
+no plans Saturday or Sunday. I will make myself rest!
+Thinking about going to LL Bean in Freeport on Saturday or Sunday, though, because I don't really have winter clothing (other than coats) that I _like_
-Daylight Savings Sunday. It'll be getting dark an hour earlier. Dammit.
-Almost certainly no [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe next month.
+Almost certainly an [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe in January.
+APC12 in January
-The two things above are in January. One of my two worst months of the year.
-My phone is inordinantly difficult to turn back on after turning it off
+going to a Verizon Wireless place after work to hopefully do something about this

Yep. Irritable today. Want sleep. Want people (in general) to leave me alone, but want to be held (by someone who _wants_ to hold, and isn't doing it because I ask them to!) and to natter about random stuff. *grump*

Hey!
+I got to use the word 'natter'. I like that word, for some reason.

And...
+it's sunny. And it was sunny yesterday.

True!

But I didn't include any sort of weight for any of those things.

Being tired is a major negative, for example.

*shrug* I like being at +4, regardless of my actual mood. ;)

Does that make you a +4 Wispfox of Nattering?

As good as a Vorpal sword and without the tell tale Snicker-Snack.

Mmm. Nattering...

Sure! But what does that make me useful for?

What first pops to mind: She dices, she slices, she does julienne fries. But that's not quite right.

Hummm, can galumphing be involved? I like that word, all of jabberwocky really. No, still not right.

How about this: good for distracting the target by changing topics at whim, causing mental whiplash, inducing confusion, sneaking past verbal barriers and finally sedating the target with hypnotic verbal banter. The primary purpose in the use of nattering is to achieve hugs. Yeah, that seems about right. :)

Mental whiplash sounds unpleasant, though!

Nattering to obtain hugs sounds fun. :)

Mental whiplash sounds unpleasant, though!

Could be, but not the meaning I was attempting to convey. Hummm, I need a word or pithy phrase that means "finding connections between two(or more) apparently very different/opposite things/concepts/actions in such a way to cause both confusion and delight in the listener". I think this counts as a subset of "mental whiplash" but my concept to word locater is spinning its wheels today.

Hugs are good, yes. :)

A similar concept is here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/sapiosexual/7009.html?thread=23393#t23393), but explained rather than named.

Oh, yes! I like that concept. Thanks for the pointer and reminder that I want to join that community. Not that I need yet another reason to keep poking my nose in at LJ when I should otherwise be occupied. At least that one seems to have a low volume.
