Poorly paraphrased, but something I was just informed of by a co-worker, about the disturbing nature of my having an evil giggle.

"There is the evil grin, the evil chuckle, but there has not been, until now, the Evil Giggle."

I think I expressed confusion at this, and the response was:

"It's like a nice, sunny field filled with bright, cheery flowers, but with one extraordinarily evil, knife-wielding daisy. It's just unexpected."

I have an evil _giggle_!?

*blink* *blink* I have a _VISIBLE_ evil giggle?!

Ok, that idea, itself, makes me laugh. :)

Of course you do! You mean you didn’t know that before now? We all thought it was a carefully-crafted part of your evil scheme to destroy our minds and turn us into zombies to do your bidding! One of those “if you know it’s coming, it’ll be all the more terrifying” sorts of things.

(Seriously, “evil giggle” is pretty much exactly what came to mind when I first heard it. It’s very charming.)

didn’t know that before now?

I think I hadn't considered the idea of it being, specifically, a giggle. I thought of it as an evil laugh, I think - because who ever heard of an evil giggle?!

Mmm. Zombies.

Oh, hell yes. I'm intimately familiar with the evil giggle, and you've got it down pat.

Intimately familiar? Who else does it?

I know a number of people who try and don't manage it as well as you do, as well as friend in Georgia who's a master (well, mistress) of the art.

...

People _try_ to giggle evilly?!

Oh, yes. They feel it gives them cache. Some people even practice.

Oh. My.

I can't grasp that thought.

Fascinating.

Yeah. See?

This is why, after I stopped laughing, I _had_ to post about it. That piece of the quote, right there. :)

It makes as much sense as acid cuteness or any other cannibal cute creatures. Except you don't devour any more than people's brains, and you tend to share yours in return.

Mmmm. Brains.

*chuckle* True! [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and [livejournal.com profile] rosefox have acid cuteness, so I'm allowed to have an evil giggle. ;)

Braaaaaains...
