I approve strongly of:

-_The Last Unicorn_ on DVD. It's _frustrating_ to be too exhausted/dizzy to read, but have a body which refuses to let one sleep any longer.

-Doctors who prescribe things for me without having to go in to see her (because dizzy and exhausted do _not_ a safe driver make), and who call them in to a pharmacy I could walk to this morning, even while dizzy.

-Antihistamines, even if I'm not sure I can spell them. I'm not dizzy, for the first time in... two-ish days! Still tired, though.

And I feel really badly for having given the evil sickness to [livejournal.com profile] aelisdeliria. This is apparently a _really_ fast transmission/incubation rate illness, since I wasn't home until Monday around noon! Does almost certainly mean I got it on the plane ride home, though.

It is so evil. :( Sorry to hear you're still feeling ill. I am too. I am just feeling the diziness tonight. Bleh. Healthy wishes!

Blah. You starting to feel any better yet? I would imagine that the dizzy (when mild) would be less debilitating if driving weren't so necessary...

I am feeling much better, thank you! The dizziness, thankfully, was rather temporary.

no feeling bad for me being sick! would've happened sooner or later, if it is something that's going around, and since it got past the immune system with the boosters in it, it's the sickness that ought to feel bad about me being sick.

hmph. *grin*

and, i made tea. it's in the fridge. added feverfew this time, since i seem to remember something about it doing good things for headaches.

Very nice doctor to give you not one, but two breaks. Sometimes life's okay. Get well soon, dear.

Yeah! I have a good doctor. This makes me happy.

And, better now. Not fully well, but better!

_The Last Unicorn_ on DVD.

If only the quality of the transfer didn't suck quite so spectacularly. Watching the US DVD release is pretty much the same as watching it on VHS, as far as sound and video are concerned. Fairly dissapointing, given that the German release looks and sounds great. Heck, even an AVI made from the german version of the DVD is better than the US version of the DVD...

Still, it's nice to have it in DVD form in the US, at all. Better'n nothing, and certainly better than a bag of rocks! :)

Ah, but I've only ever seen the US VHS one before, so I didn't realize the difference. Did have a moment of 'Oh! I forgot how _old_ this was!', though. :)

I'm glad I'm reading about your fast-incubation bug through the monitor [g]. DVD is a good placebo for that, I think...

Yes! You are! Because apparently I (or perhaps my roommate) was still infectuous as of Friday night.

And the DVD was good for the fact that I was unable to read, and wasn't able to sleep as much as my fuzzy brain wanted me to.
