[travel] home again!
Sep. 20th, 2004 12:26 pmI am home. I have been up, aside from sorta-kinda sleeping on the plane from Seattle to Chicago, for over 24 hours now. But I'm not going to bed until it gets dark, because I don't want to screw up my body clock any more than it already is, and I have work tomorrow.
I _can_ sleep on a plane, if it's dark, but it hurts. My legs are _so_ mad at me right now. And I need to obtain a pillow thingy which one puts behind and somewhat around one's neck, because there was no comfortable position in which to put my head.
It's very strange to watch the sun rise in Chicago on one's way back to the east coast, when one left Seattle at midnight.
Potluck last night (odd thought, having not really slept yet) before I left was good, although I had periodic moments of wanting to hide due to it being too loud (never actually did, though, because I knew there was a _very_ small amount of time left). But it was a pretty small gathering, and almost entirely of people I'd gotten _some_ sense of beforehand (one person who I had no sense of. And I think _still_ have no sense of). Yay meeting people! And determining that I _did_ recognize someone who I knew I'd met before but had no memory attached to that fact.
Overall, very good trip. Time sense is screwed up, but I expected that.
Food now. I have no idea if I'm catching up on people's LJs since fairly early... yesterday (Sunday), or not.
My kitty was much less mad at me this time. Remembering to tell him when I'll be back is _good_.

Date: 2004-09-22 04:56 pm (UTC)Oddly, the one I saw on the plane was an inflatable kind, but I don't think I said as much above. *confused*
But, yes - you should show it to me so I know what to look for!

Me, too! :)
And, technically, re-meet. Since I recognized her, although didn't initially realize who she was. :)

Well... yeah! This seems... obvious, to me.
