Sometimes, I mis-hear the greatest things.

Today, instead of 'happy news', I heard 'happy moose'.

Which has caused me to want to say 'happy moose' for no apparent reason since this occured.

"Happy moose!"

I feel like it should have some major significance, or something.

i do that all the time! some friend and i've renamed a lot of very common things because of exactly the kind of situation you described. "Cheap gas" is now permanently referred to as "sheep guts," etc. :)
