I blame _The Matrix_ for the fact that anyone male with the last name of 'Anderson' will _always_ make my brain want me to great them with 'Miiister Aaanderson'. I don't think I've done so yet, but every job I've been at since graduation has had an Anderson working there. *shakes head in amusement*

*hunts down one of her multiple Anderson co-workers, now*

Mr. Anderson

Have you seen "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"?

I have much the same reaction but I see him doing it in drag. My brain just can't leave well enough alone...

No, I have not. I take it it's the same actor? :)

Yes, he is. Look here (http://www.impawards.com/1994/adventures_of_priscilla_queen_of_the_desert.html) for a good movie poster.

We figure that at some point we should have a Hugo Weaving film festival. It could include Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the Matrix movies, Babe/Babe: Pig in the City, and the LotR series.

He was in Babe? *blinks a lot*

Elrond, yes?

I don't think there was a character Elrond in Babe. *smirk*

He was a sheepdog in Babe...

I know that! I was replying to the two movies separately. :P (I'm sure someone's written a crossover fanfic though. *shudders*)

Hmm... I haven't seen Babe in quite a while, so I fail to remember sheepdog well, let alone voice of sheepdog.

I saw a pretty good flash parody combining Elron/Mr. Anderson a couple of months ago. Can't find it now. To many common elements to sort through on the Web. I'd forgotten he was in Priscilla and Babe too. That is an amusing combination to contemplate.

Do you watch Babylon 5?

Hell, yes. I plan to own the series, eventually, but I don't know how this relates? (note: very poor at making connections between the same actor in different characters)

We have a Professor Garibaldi. :)

Heh! Oh, goodness.

And now I understand why I didn't get it. ;)

I saw "Into the Deep" at Imax the other day with my folks. I burst out laughing when the narrator started talking about a kind of fish called a Geribaldi. "The firey little Garibaldi" indeed!

Does that sound like a real American accent? It doesn't to me, but then again, my fake American accent sounds fake to me but apparently sounds neutral to certain Americans :-)

It... sounds like whatever accent the actor who was the main Agent in Matrix has. Not typical American, no.

Mr. Smith was, I believe, the Agent's name.

Hi There!

My friend [livejournal.com profile] revunit001 is actually a "Smith". So when we met in Boston, he called me "Miiiiister Aaaaandersonnn", and I called him "Agent Smith". :)

I get the same vibe with people called Smith!

BTW, I added you on the recommendation of [info]shadesong. If you want me to bugger off, I will.

Neh - as long as you don't mind that I may not friend you back (my friends list is overwhemling _now_), is fine. :)

He wanted people like me, so I gave him you. Heh.

Are you allowed to give [livejournal.com profile] wispfox to people? What happens if they want an exchange, or heaven forbid, a return?

No one would want to return her!

Hee! Excellent. He certainly didn't stick around very long, though. Apparently wasn't pleased by the possibility of me not friending back. *shrug*

I've got the same issue, but I have to make do with a non-exact match now -- "Andrews". It's close enough for my brain to make the connection most of the time ;-)

"Julie Andrews"

I *love* doing an Agent Smith voice!! I can't believe I haven't done it around you yet! 8->

IIRC, you have not, no. :) That does _not_ mean you haven't, although I'd think that'd be sufficiently amusing that a reference to it would recall it to memory if you had.

And I forgot to do it on our last call. Ah well. We were both tired.

Pity you can't come see me soon! Qantas doing very cheap flights from the US to here. Boston to Melbourne for ~US$1200 return. (Found while booking flights for Rose.) 8->

I would just like to note that I think you _really_ need to make this into a phone post.

Or at least remember to say it the next time we're on the phone. ;)

Phonepost? Maybe.

Phonecall? Put it in your Palm so you remember to ask me! 8->

Wouldn't work - I don't look at my Palm when it tells me you're about to call, I just listen to it beep and know what it means. :)
