Weirds me out, this does - I didn't _used_ to be so social, and I'm not completely convinced I _am_ right now. Ah, well.

Scarcity of available slots in your social calendar would tend to lead people to believe you are a highly social person. Sure you have lots of thoughts and introspection, and you rate yourself as an I--- on the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, but you're far better connected than most people I know and seem to derive a significant amount of energy from your outward interaction with others. Whether or not you actually are a 'people person', you sure act like one. :)

Mmm. But scarcity of social calendar slots includes taking time for myself, and stupid things like oil changes.

That said, yeah. I can see that.

I continue to maintain that I am both introverted and extroverted.

Intro in that I need time to myself periodically, or I get unhappy (how often depends on my stress levels and time of year).

But extro in that I work better when I can use other people to talk things through with, and in that I need time with people I'm sufficiently comfortable with, or I get unhappy.

I'm a strange combination of opposites, always have been. I just had no people skills growing up, and few people I _wanted_ to interact with, and I've not yet adjusted to those no longer being the case in my self-image, I suspect. :)

That's a reason why I like you. You have a good sense of balance, transparency, and are willing to share authentic processing openly with those you trust. I see you practicing many of the same things that have lead me to happier life. I don't see you as a contrast of opposites, I see you as a person with a large dynamic range that appreciates how the entire spectrum contributes to who you are.
