I'm not entirely sure I can do this for everyone on my friends list, but I shall do my best.
Seen in lots of journals, go to my userinfo page, and pick one person on my friends list you're curious about.
Then, comment with their username, and I'll do my best to tell you about them.
This ought to be interesting, since I'm not really sure how good I am at describing people!

Date: 2004-07-16 03:33 pm (UTC)Molly is teh rox! She has my cat's older brother (seemingly, not real-ly), and she's intelligent on lots of things, and she's androgynous in all the best ways, and she's got the best back of anyone I've ever met, and she's only just been reincarnated as human from cat and I don't think she completely made it, and she has a major in linguistics, how is this not hot?
And I work with her. :)

Has nifty housemates, and is someone I met because I went to a housewarming not expecting to know anyone, simply because the announcement for it (sent to at least one list I'm on) was _so_ amusingly phrased.

Date: 2004-07-16 03:39 pm (UTC)She's quite cool, fairly quiet most of the time that I've seen her, but sweet and cuddly, and has lots of interesting things to say when she speaks up. She's also pretty busy, as is true for most of the people I know, it seems.

I don't think of myself as being quite as busy as
Now I go off to read some of your journal because my curiosity's up too.

Date: 2004-07-16 03:49 pm (UTC)She makes wire jewelry (usually choakers), sews, draws, paints, makes 3-D-type representations of things she draws using wire, and other similarly fascinating examples of artistic talent. I'm continually impressed, actually. :)
She gets to listen to me babble about pretty much everything, and often has an excellent ability to point out things that should probably be obvious, but which I hadn't noticed yet.
She's also very good company because the two of us tend to get into random giggle-fits (although not as often as
(Hey! Didn't you two meet?)

Date: 2004-07-16 03:53 pm (UTC)Highly prone to punning, which simultaneously pleases me and makes my brain hurt. Way hugely into reading lots and lots of stuff with a huge amount of variety. Very high curiosity level, which I love. Sings randomly, which I _also_ love. Um. I'm sure there's lots and lots more because there always is. ;)

Wait, no..... gah.
Yergh. Can't you just blurb your entire friends list and be done with it?

(that said, if you like, I can probably attempt the tree you requested, as long as everyone doesn't start asking for multiple people)

Very silly. Of course, this probably isn't that distinctive, based on the sum total of my friends list. ;) I think I first saw him on
This will be even more difficult, and will almost certainly be based almost entirely on the info page and what very little I remember, having had little to no interaction with this person. I can't even remember why I added, actually!
Art! Actually, just read this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/haikujaguar/104018.html) and this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/haikujaguar/104392.html). She tells her story far better than I do.
Oh, look! Someone I've met!
*grins*
Fascinatingly obsessed with philosophers (http://www.omniheurist.net/index2.html), crazy, silly, nifty, fire-spinning, law school student with pleasantly long nails who prefers to be scratched even harder than I do, who I first saw on OK Cupid. Comfortable to be around, quiet in large groups (which I also tend to be). Someone I hope to eventually get to know better, as time and distance permit, but with no particular urgency for that goal (which is generally true for pretty much everyone I want to get to know better, actually).

Date: 2004-07-16 03:59 pm (UTC)Star-gazer, nature-lover with amazing amounts of useful information about things (like she can identify bird calls - I'm working on that), just as much into quiet contemplation of things and enjoyment of surrounding beauty as deep and intense conversations. She's generally at least neutral, although I generally see her when she's happy. She blames me for making her extra silly when I'm around, but I think it's her fault.
She's very very very accepting, although apparently this is another way in which we think the other one is doing better.
Her brain has interesting and pleasing turns of phrases, and she writes fan fiction (mostly Power Rangers fiction). I don't watch Power Rangers, and have no trouble following her fanfic. So I read it all, and enjoy it muchly. She is generally very good at saying things that either say something I needed to say and forgot, or that I'd never thought to try to verbalize.
In many ways, I'd say that we are simply kindred souls. And, as with most of the people I've known for a long time, it seems that it doesn't really matter how long it's been since I saw her last, things are comfortable with her. While I frequently miss her, I don't feel a need to do something to keep the connection alive. It stays alive all on its own.

Date: 2004-07-16 04:07 pm (UTC)She's very cuddly, and was wearing a very entertaining t-shirt when I met her (although, annoyingly, I can't remember the words!), she was almost constantly with a camara, IIRC. She seemed pretty relaxed and calm.
I note that I don't actually have much of a sense of her online self, only her in-person self. Interesting. (ok, I just looked at her journal, and I don't think her posts are showing up in my friends page! Is she _on_ my friends list? If not, she should be... Hey! She wasn't! No wonder I have no sense of her online. ;)

Date: 2004-07-16 08:53 pm (UTC)So - "excellent GM" is probably always going to be the first thing I think of.
Next would be my appreciation of the fact that his brain seems to be about as random as mine (and yours, for that matter!), which makes for very entertaining and varied conversations. Yay, conversations! (and, for that matter, varied LJ entries. ;)
I appear to be without any more useful words, so I stop now! La!

Date: 2004-07-16 09:23 pm (UTC)She also seems to do a fair amount of the same kind of self-investigation that I do, which I tend to approve of just in general, partly because it's healthy, and partly because other people can find things that I need to know by investigating themselves.
Good person, yes. :)

Date: 2004-07-18 03:00 am (UTC)Strong interest in enjoying, sharing, and creating joy was, I believe, what caught and held my attention after his journal was found, as that is something in which I also believe strongly. A certain playfulness abounds throughout his journal, which never fails to delight me - playful is good as silliness is good (and they tend to go together). There is easily visible curiousity, mystical interest/awareness, and humour throughout his journal. One of the many bibliosexuals (http://www.livejournal.com/users/wolfieboy/285749.html) on my friends list.
His memories entries (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=wolfieboy) are dangerous to start reading because they are just so interesting. And there's a bunch of them! And they probably do a much better job than I in describing him. :)
