I'm not entirely sure I can do this for everyone on my friends list, but I shall do my best.

Seen in lots of journals, go to my userinfo page, and pick one person on my friends list you're curious about.
Then, comment with their username, and I'll do my best to tell you about them.

This ought to be interesting, since I'm not really sure how good I am at describing people!

I will reply because I can!

Molly is teh rox!  She has my cat's older brother (seemingly, not real-ly), and she's intelligent on lots of things, and she's androgynous in all the best ways, and she's got the best back of anyone I've ever met, and she's only just been reincarnated as human from cat and I don't think she completely made it, and she has a major in linguistics, how is this not hot?

And I work with her.  :)

Drat. I was gonna ask about her, because people keep telling me how great she is but really saying anything of substance. ::ponderponder::

Crazy girl from whom I think I obtained my random BRAINS and zombie amusement. Holds really nifty/comfy/fun parties, is just absolutely delightful in the ways in which her mind wanders from topic to topic to topic (possibly even more than I do!), has lots of photographic and biking and weight-lifting information.

WANT TO EAT HER BRAINS!

Has nifty housemates, and is someone I met because I went to a housewarming not expecting to know anyone, simply because the announcement for it (sent to at least one list I'm on) was _so_ amusingly phrased.

Wow! Speedy replying today!

[livejournal.com profile] intenselaura is someone I met at the Toronto altpolycon last August (yes, the same time I met [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe, for those keeping track of such things), because she lives pretty near where it was held.

She's quite cool, fairly quiet most of the time that I've seen her, but sweet and cuddly, and has lots of interesting things to say when she speaks up. She's also pretty busy, as is true for most of the people I know, it seems.

Person who has mutual feelings of niftiness with people with whom I share feelings of niftiness is curious about me! Nifty!

Something [livejournal.com profile] wispfox didn't mention is that she helped make it possible for me to stay at the hotel during alt.polycon, for which I am most grateful. Commuting would have been possible but unfun, and would have caused me to miss out on a lot of good stuff. And when the con was officially over and I wanted to stay another night, she offered me crash space. I accepted [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe's offer though. :) Oh, and she seemed familiar to me somehow. I figured out someone she resembled in appearance, but it was something more than that, and I liked it.

I don't think of myself as being quite as busy as [livejournal.com profile] wispfox thinks, though.

Now I go off to read some of your journal because my curiosity's up too.

My roommate, initially met her at a boston pagan alliance (even though I no longer go to their meetings) almost two years ago (really? Is this true, [livejournal.com profile] aelisdeliria?).

She makes wire jewelry (usually choakers), sews, draws, paints, makes 3-D-type representations of things she draws using wire, and other similarly fascinating examples of artistic talent. I'm continually impressed, actually. :)

She gets to listen to me babble about pretty much everything, and often has an excellent ability to point out things that should probably be obvious, but which I hadn't noticed yet.

She's also very good company because the two of us tend to get into random giggle-fits (although not as often as [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and I, nor as helplessly. Which is probably self-defense from living together!), and she appreciates the completely random and silly things I do and say (and does and says similarly random and silly things).

(Hey! Didn't you two meet?)

Utterly insane, but in ways that I am insane. Silly, random things to do/say, frequently putting us both into helpless bouts of laughter, fascinating brain that I want to consume, posts a whole lot (I think she and I are at about the same posting rate), had really fascinating things to say in person and in her journal, and frequently makes me _think_ (which I like a lot).

Highly prone to punning, which simultaneously pleases me and makes my brain hurt. Way hugely into reading lots and lots of stuff with a huge amount of variety. Very high curiosity level, which I love. Sings randomly, which I _also_ love. Um. I'm sure there's lots and lots more because there always is. ;)

Wow. It's amazingly me how _much_ more difficult this is for people I've not met in-person. But! I try anyway.

[livejournal.com profile] aussie_nyc

/me valiantly refuses to state obvious things based on username.

Very silly. Of course, this probably isn't that distinctive, based on the sum total of my friends list. ;) I think I first saw him on [livejournal.com profile] sunyata__'s journal. I have not yet met him, which makes answering this rather a bit more difficult than I expected. He's where my current LJ name "3-D, multi-coloured, strange silliness-attractor" came from - he suggested it (which would be why the non-American spelling of 'colour' which the spell-checker is bitching about. ;). Um... dammit, and I've talked to him often enough on IM that I _should_ be able to come up with more than this! Photography happens, often including teddy bears... but I can't find examples to link to! Hmm... I give up. I suck!

[livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar

This will be even more difficult, and will almost certainly be based almost entirely on the info page and what very little I remember, having had little to no interaction with this person. I can't even remember why I added, actually!

Art! Actually, just read this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/haikujaguar/104018.html) and this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/haikujaguar/104392.html). She tells her story far better than I do.

[livejournal.com profile] regyt

Oh, look! Someone I've met!

*grins*

Fascinatingly obsessed with philosophers (http://www.omniheurist.net/index2.html), crazy, silly, nifty, fire-spinning, law school student with pleasantly long nails who prefers to be scratched even harder than I do, who I first saw on OK Cupid. Comfortable to be around, quiet in large groups (which I also tend to be). Someone I hope to eventually get to know better, as time and distance permit, but with no particular urgency for that goal (which is generally true for pretty much everyone I want to get to know better, actually).

Longest term friend of those people I know on LJ (there is one other person I've been friends with longer, but she has no LJ). I've known her since first (?) year at UNH, which would have been... '79-'98.

Star-gazer, nature-lover with amazing amounts of useful information about things (like she can identify bird calls - I'm working on that), just as much into quiet contemplation of things and enjoyment of surrounding beauty as deep and intense conversations. She's generally at least neutral, although I generally see her when she's happy. She blames me for making her extra silly when I'm around, but I think it's her fault.

She's very very very accepting, although apparently this is another way in which we think the other one is doing better.

Her brain has interesting and pleasing turns of phrases, and she writes fan fiction (mostly Power Rangers fiction). I don't watch Power Rangers, and have no trouble following her fanfic. So I read it all, and enjoy it muchly. She is generally very good at saying things that either say something I needed to say and forgot, or that I'd never thought to try to verbalize.

In many ways, I'd say that we are simply kindred souls. And, as with most of the people I've known for a long time, it seems that it doesn't really matter how long it's been since I saw her last, things are comfortable with her. While I frequently miss her, I don't feel a need to do something to keep the connection alive. It stays alive all on its own.

Met her briefly while she was in the area, and the vast majority of the sense I have of her is a more or less constant smile of sheer joy and pleasure.

She's very cuddly, and was wearing a very entertaining t-shirt when I met her (although, annoyingly, I can't remember the words!), she was almost constantly with a camara, IIRC. She seemed pretty relaxed and calm.

I note that I don't actually have much of a sense of her online self, only her in-person self. Interesting. (ok, I just looked at her journal, and I don't think her posts are showing up in my friends page! Is she _on_ my friends list? If not, she should be... Hey! She wasn't! No wonder I have no sense of her online. ;)

Initially met because of group movie thingy with [livejournal.com profile] pheromone and [livejournal.com profile] scholargipsy. Later conversations in my LJ resulted in me attending a weekend-long gaming thing that he ran (and well, I might add! Especially considering that he was feverish all weekend! Yay, gaming!).

So - "excellent GM" is probably always going to be the first thing I think of.

Next would be my appreciation of the fact that his brain seems to be about as random as mine (and yours, for that matter!), which makes for very entertaining and varied conversations. Yay, conversations! (and, for that matter, varied LJ entries. ;)

I appear to be without any more useful words, so I stop now! La!

There are _so_ many choices, I don't know what to do. I'll go with the first one I saw though, [livejournal.com profile] anklesnake. If you're willing, I'd be interested in what you say about [livejournal.com profile] phaedra_lari also but that's because I like your perspective on things and wonder what you think about someone that I _do_ know. But that's asking for multiple people and [livejournal.com profile] regyt could've used up the multiple people quota already. <gryn>

From: [identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com
[livejournal.com profile] anklesnake is much fun to hang around with, partly because of her sheer _glee_ at so many things, partly because she continues the trend of the people I know relating to lots of varied interests/things in her head. She's also wonderfully non-energy-intensive (which only matters because I haven't known her very long yet, I think), so hanging out with her, even though I don't really know her all that well yet, is still fairly calm and comfy.

She also seems to do a fair amount of the same kind of self-investigation that I do, which I tend to approve of just in general, partly because it's healthy, and partly because other people can find things that I need to know by investigating themselves.

Good person, yes. :)

[livejournal.com profile] phaedra_lari is going to be a lot short, since I don't really know her and haven't interacted with her much. She is... someone that I have quiet interest in getting to know better if time happens to work that way... I believe the original reason I friended her was the sheer beauty and evokativeness of the way that she writes. I can generally _see_ what she's writing about, and not just read it. And I enjoy that.

thank you...

You have so many interesting friends. I'm at a loss as to who I want to ask about. I'm tempted to just just sit back and listen in. Hummm, I'll name a few but any one answered would be fine. I'd like to know more about [personal profile] wolfieboy because I'm intrigued by the sapiosexuality concept, [personal profile] wcg because if I had more ambition in college I might have ended up going for my PhD in physics, [personal profile] brynndragon because of indirect SCA connections...

From: [identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com
[livejournal.com profile] wolfieboy is one of the few people I've gotten to know solely online who I got a strong enough sense of that I've taken steps toward meeting him (in fact, have plane tickets to go visit in September). Sapiosexuality as a concept is, I believe, actually how I originally found his journal.

Strong interest in enjoying, sharing, and creating joy was, I believe, what caught and held my attention after his journal was found, as that is something in which I also believe strongly. A certain playfulness abounds throughout his journal, which never fails to delight me - playful is good as silliness is good (and they tend to go together). There is easily visible curiousity, mystical interest/awareness, and humour throughout his journal. One of the many bibliosexuals (http://www.livejournal.com/users/wolfieboy/285749.html) on my friends list.

His memories entries (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=wolfieboy) are dangerous to start reading because they are just so interesting. And there's a bunch of them! And they probably do a much better job than I in describing him. :)

[livejournal.com profile] wcg - another altpolyite (also alt.callahans reader/poster, although I never spent much time there) that I met at the altpolycon in Toronto last August. Very cool, with all _sorts_ of interesting things to say in his journal. Good talent at stating possibly confusing things in his journal without completely losing me (and therefore possibly others), which is impressive since physics is _not_ my friend. Amusing, and fairly random (which is a plus, in my book). Good person, yes.

[livejournal.com profile] brynndragon - I don't actually have a very good sense of this person, although I apparently have enough of one to keep her on my friends list. (her. I think it's her!) I know there is motorcycle-owning going on... I don't think I can describe this person!

[livejournal.com profile] bluepapercup is actually a recent addition to the local people that I know. I have yet to see her without a big smile on her face, even when I ran into a very obviously overheated her, earlier today. She's delightful, cheerful, and quite huggable. She also collects fish and fish-like stuffed animals, one of which makes (IIRC) bubbly noises when you squeeze it! As well, she seems to collect shiny people about as much as I do. Much good silliness, oh yes.

*blinks* Ow. My brain. You don't already know her?!

[livejournal.com profile] nex0s is a delightfully quirky, knitting fiend who also happens to be a grad student for landscape... um... something at Harvard (and therefore really busy!). She has the most _amazing_ talent to see the whole entire thing of what she wants to create (she's also artsy in lots of ways) before she makes it, which never fails to fascinate the hell out of me. She's been known to make comparisons between relationships and physics (recently, even), which, well, _drooool_. Want to eat the _braains_! She frequently knows about nifty arts things in the area, and even brought me with her to one which was _fascinating_ (sound and light and text and oooooh!) and made my brain happy.
