The US Senate is scheduled to vote on the implementation of a national ID card system, _today_. Most fascinatingly, it has apparently never been debated on the US Senate floor, or talked about in any committee, and has been slipped into a another bill that would keep our fighting men and women taken care of in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Rapture Index, or (perhaps part of) why the current US government is acting in so very _un_conservative ways, and actively attacking the environment.
