*glee* I am, in fact, going to be volunteering for the GLBTQ (I always forget the 'Q'!) youth group that I was hoping to volunteer for (Spectrum), every other week on Friday after work.

This does, I note, mean I have no free Fridays (if I don't skip Psinging) for the foreseeable future. OTOH, Spectrum gets out at 7pm, so I can do things after that if I'm not too exhausted. :) And, if sufficient levels of interesting things happen on opposing Fridays, I can always skip out on Psinging.

But, yay! Nifty volunteer place! I can stop looking for somewhere to volunteer so as to be able to have recommendations for school eventually, and it's a nifty, nifty place! (and on the way home from work. Which may change if I have to move, but it'll still probably be on my way home no matter where I live, since it's Lowell, which is at the intersection of 495 and 3)

Incidentally, I'm doing _way_ too many things regularly. Makes my head itch... On the plus side, as I keep reminding myself, Spectrum does _not_ actually eat up my entire Friday night; just the first hour or so of it.

But, regularity! Sheesh!

(note: I tend to not like to do things regularly because I like to have flexibility in my schedule as much as possible. It tends to reduce my 'gah! Things I want to do but can't do' or 'must make changes to my schedule with little notice' stresses. Regular activities rather prevents flexibility, even though I can not go to Psinging, and can move my call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe with a minimal amount of discussion)

Go read this post of [livejournal.com profile] conuly's, as it contains both an interesting link and an interesting article (for which there is a link in the comments, but which apparently requires logging in to read).

Also from [livejournal.com profile] conuly, We Are the Other People.

I note that while slipping on ice and falling on my butt yesterday morning didn't have much for immediate pains, I now have severely achy muscles in the _strangest_ places (as of last night). I don't _like_! Stupid ice.

Bah. I don't remember falling having such amazing results on my muscles in the past. This is really quite strange. Anti-inflammatories, I think... must have pulled multiple muscles in an attempt to not fall, mostly on the left side of my body.

I blame one of my co-workers for the fact that I now want an ipod shuffle. The ipod itself did not have any draw for me, but the shuffle is tiny and cute and I could put it in my pocket and it wouldn't escape and I could listen to it on planes (planes are _loud_) and now I _want one_.

Bad co-worker. *adds to list of things to get eventually* (this is so I don't try to go buy it _now_, you see)

And apparently there is Linux software which can talk to it, which is good.
