From [livejournal.com profile] helpers, here, possibly squick-worthy, Story about female genital reconstruction, post-excision.

Despite what you may have heard, the exit polls were right. Again with the tired reaction. Got this link from... someone on my friends list, but damned if I remember who.

I want one of these for when there aren't highly comfy-for-me-people around and I need to be held. Except I have no idea where I'd put it.

(incidentally, if I'm probably moving, I guess it's good that I've not yet lined up a volunteer job... And I don't _want_ to have to change all my medical professionals, but if I end up in the greater boston area, it'll no longer be worth it to keep the people I had from when I was living in Nashua, due to distance)

I. Must. Go. Here, sometime.

Even though I think Tokyo would terrify me.

*giggling to herself*

I have a bunch of books that I realized that I won't re-read (yes, I do try to only keep books I expect to either re-read or to want to lend to other people) and therefore want to get rid of.

I'm thinking about posting the list to my friends list to see if anyone wants them. I'm undecided on if I want to charge for them or not, but if I do it'll be really cheap (a couple of bucks a book, less if you get a bunch of books). Anyone think this is a good plan? They're mostly sci-fi/fantasy.

There's no rush, so I'm willing to hold onto things for people until the next time I'm in the greater boston area (for those who live there). For those who live places not nearby, postage would need to be paid.

I have some other stuff I would like to find new homes for, as well, actually...

*sudden amusement* You know, I should just invite people to my place next month or the month after to come look through the things I don't want to keep around. That would probably be easier. :)

So, a poll!

[Poll #438706]

I do have other stuff, too, but these are the things I can easily think of that need to go away. I also have no idea what's contained in the boxes of Fantasy/Science Fiction magazines; I got them from a co-worker, believing that I'd read them. They're currently pretending to be an end table right now, so obviously I'm failing to actually read them.

I blame one of my co-workers for this.

In case anyone was wondering:

"one should destroy bugs in a quiet and businesslike fashion, like an assassin taking down a target, not loudly and emotionally like a psycho killer. . ."
