So, I'm not the only person who makes a very bad American. *amused*

ASCII wars, seen on [livejournal.com profile] dewhitton's journal.

What if there was a movement to shut down libraries because book publishers and authors were up in arms over the idea that people are reading books for free? It would send a message that books are only for the elite who can afford them.

Stop trying to treat music like it's a tennis shoe, something to be branded. If the music industry wants to save money, they should take a look at some of their six-figure executive expense accounts. All those lawsuits can't be cheap, either.

Hungry. Sleepy. Life is very surreal when one is sick for sufficiently long. Coughing makes my throat hurt, but cleans out my lungs so I can breathe. I hate how asthma and chest colds combine. Food.

Reading bugzilla mail makes me feel like I'm watching a conversation happen that I wasn't actually around for. Sometimes people talking to themselves, as well.

Food now.

It's... jarring to get up from my desk, which faces away from a window and has a very bright full spectrum light in my eyes all day, to see that it's pitch black outside. Kinda like someone dropped a big piece of black velvet cloth over the building.

But then, it's winter solstice in a bit over a month. Longest night of the year, and such.

Speaking of which, I feel like I'm a bit more... stable at this point than I think I normally am at this time of the year. I wonder if the fact that I've managed to successfully be taking SAM-e regularly for almost two weeks now, plus constant bright light source, plus mostly regular light box use, might actually be helping enough to keep me stable? We'll see when it's closer to the really _bad_ part of the winter, since this is more the randomly changing between up and down part of the season.

And being loopy from being sick and sleepy may also be affecting my not being down-ness.

Interesting. I shall continue to watch my mood.

books, organized by color! - link seen in [livejournal.com profile] nikkinewsnet.

I am greatly pleased by this. The joy, the joy! The absurdity of what books might now be next to other books!

Color-sorting... yes. Just as long as you don't need to find anything, of course. ;)
