It's very worrisome to have one's cat yowling when urinating. It's more so when it happens twice.

I've called my vet (yes, they _are_ 24 hours, athough just emergency is available right now). They said that, as long as he's still passing urine, he's fine to wait until they open at 7am. I will, however, be calling at 7am, precisely.

I still may end up using Emergency, if they have no regular hours open in the morning. If nothing else, he feels really hot to the touch.

He seems to be feeling much better; enough so that I'm back to the 'keep an eye on him' stage, rather than the 'going into the vet ASAP' stage.

He's happy to let me pet him, again, and is purring, and seems to not be having the constant urinary urgency problem he was having. And he's no longer overly warm to the touch.

So, I watch, and make sure he really _is_ healthy again. Poor kitty...

And now, I try to get some sleep before work.

It's uncomfortable to be at work when I'm worried about my cat. Especially when I know no one will be around today.

But he wasn't seeming to be having any problems, and there were no normal appointments open today. If he's still doing the frequent little tiny bits of urine when I get home, I'll try for an appintment tomorrow (or emergency if that is still not an option). If he's not urinated at _all_ when I get home, emergency it is.

My poor kitty...

Dude. The funny. :) (and it's _begging_ for this specific mood icon. ;)

Libra (September 23-October 22)
I have never before called on the help of actress Mae West to illuminate your horoscope. Her cracked wisdom is so relentlessly arch and ironic that it's rarely useful as advice. Given the extraordinary nature of your current astrological omens, however, I'm now going to be utterly sincere as I recommend that you pattern yourself after her. Mae once said, "When I'm good, I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better." For a limited time only, Libra, you have the right to speak these words as if they were your deepest truth.

Another quote from my quote of the day calendar.

"No one outside outselves can rule us inwardly.
When we know this, we become free."

Ash seems healthy still, although the fact that he has only urinated once (a more normal amount, though) since the insanity of this morning worries me - if this continues through tomorrow morning, I'm not waiting until Friday evening's appointment. If, however, he continues to behave normally incluing urinating, Friday evening shall be to get a urine sample and try to figure out what might be crystalizing, and modify his diet accordingly. (this may make me late for, if I make it at all, Psinging)

For those who might care, the light box I use is this: http://www.sunnexbiotech.com/

I am finally using my new laptop, with Linux (Windows is also on here, as I _know_ the pain that laptops with linux can be, and I'm not feeling safe yet). Weeeeee laptop!

Probably going to go read now that I've finished moving stuff from my other laptop to this one. Shall move stuff from the Linux side of my desktop some other time.
