snow...

Driving through falling snow is hypnotic, as I was reminded last night on the way home. I also determined that I can get the same effect while out of the car by looking straight up into the falling snow. This does, however, result in a cold and wet face as the snowflakes melt. It's still very pretty, though.

This morning on the way to work, I saw lots of lightly dusted trees, which made for a very pretty drive. Kinda wished I had my camara, except I was driving and couldn't have taken any pictures anyway. Well, except for when the traffic wasn't moving for no apparent reason. This happened often. I still don't know why.

Today, my back says 'ow!' a lot. More than usual, which is disconcerting. My neck, too. *grumble*

I have a massage scheduled for a week from Thursday. I keep thinking my body would be happier with me to do them twice monthly, rather than once monthly, but... expensive. And I no longer have insurance that covers part of it.

Ah, well. At least I get the once monthly ones! Many people don't, and I used to not, myself.

Also, my left leg says ow. Stupid leg. There's only so much stretching I can *do*, silly legs!

But, stretching every (or almost every) night has made them randomly angry at me less often. And I'm still very impressed that my massage therapist can massage them even when they are upset without causing more pain. I'm still not sure how she does this, since most people not me cannot manage that.

I need to remember to do Yoga more often. Actually, what I need to do is get a pictoral explanation of Yoga moves. I have a reasonable idea of how to move correctly, having taken a bit of Yoga, but don't tend to have enough initiative to *go* to Yoga class lately. And am not convinced that going is any more useful than doing the excercises on my own, if I knew what the positions/moves were well enough.

I also need to remember to inflate my excercise ball, which has been in my car for over a month now, waiting for me to remember. Bad me!

I need to contact lots and lots of people about getting together. But not this week. Next week.

In addition to the people I generally tend to try to see (or at least talk to) fairly frequently, I need to contact my sisters about visiting, since one will soon be in the area from Chicago, and I need to go visit the other and her daugher in RI.

Also, I have not seen my longest term friend in a while. I wonder if I can convince her to visit me? That's a large part of why I've not visited in a while - I don't *like* driving to Hartford, CT.

Also, I think there were a few pending planning stuff going on in my email from before I vanished for a week and a half, although I think they were mostly relating to next month, not this. Thankfully.

Or, at least, like sharing more song lyrics that I like.

Currently listening to Easy People, by the Nields. Never fails to make me smile, that one. Especially:

"And I choose you to take up all of my time
I choose you because you're funny and kind
I want easy people from now on"

Yeah. :)

Also, a couple songs by Kris Delmhorst:

Hummingbird reminds me a lot of how I used to be (and sometimes still am).

And, I like Hurricane both for the vivid visuals, and the intensity. I especially like:

"the sensible people run, but I’m holding out my tongue,
for just a taste of rain, electricity, I want to feel that change washing over me"

Why is there not a musical, or lyrical, mood?

Random comic of goodness, as found on [livejournal.com profile] rmjwell's post today. Also, some of them pleased me especially much.

Dragon!
Don't kill it!

Also, this poll by [livejournal.com profile] maedbh7 is interesting. Go look!

Yes, I'm very flighty today. On the plus side, I'm less tired. :)

OK, for the Orlando Bloom fans out there, I'm not really a huge fan and *I* think this is a tasty picture.

Yup. Pretty! And the lack of blonde wig part is good, too...
