Pretty day

Ate lunch outside today, as I am wont to do when the sun is shining and it's still warm enough out that I *want* to. Didn't eat with anyone, which was kinda neat - I had mostly quiet, I had sunlight, and I had soft grass to sit on. Oh, and food. Lunchtime and all. :)

It was good. Calming. Pleasant.

Then, after dropping off my stuff inside, I wandered down to a lot that the stripmall-ish place my officebuilding is located in stopped working on before it was finished (lack of money, I'm sure). Lots of pretty weeds there, and surrounded by a very thin line of trees. So, birds. And bugs. And floaty white fluffy seeds which amused me to try to catch, and to blow off the stem to which they were attached.

Found a rock in a rock pile to sit on, and just be. Watched bees investigating flowers. Listened to a bunch of blue jays, as well as some other birds whose calls I don't yet know. Tried to ignore some sort of loud chainsaw-like noise. Soaked up the sunlight, and got quite warm and cozy. Wanted to curl up and take a nap, cat-like being that I can be sometimes. :)

Was good. I like warm, sunny days. Especially in the fall, when I can feel them start to become less frequent, so appreciate them more.
