Bit and pieces, pieces and bits...
Sep. 14th, 2003 12:04 amI should sleep, and intend to after this. It's weird how almost constantly being tired means I have more difficulty remembering to actually go to bed at a reasonable hour. Something about it not being a particularly dramatic change in my energy levels at an appropriate time for sleep, maybe.
Lovely dinner with a small group of people last night. I was pretty quiet, since I don't know them all *that* well yet, and there were enough unfamiliar proper nouns wandering around that it was difficult for me to catch them long enough to ask. *shrug* Learning by immersion works. ;) And I'm sure being tired also contributed to my being quiet. Was good, though. Much enjoyed.
Very pretty view on the way home from dropping off soon-to-be roommate at his current home. The no longer quite full moon was out, very bright. There was a bunch of light, fluffy clouds all over the sky, but clustering around the moon. Made me think of a flock of cotton balls, slightly pulled apart so they were flatter than round. It was a very pretty effect, but not one my camara was willing to capture when I got home, although I tried.
I may be prone to avoiding large group things right now, but I seem to still be good in smaller groups, especially if I'm fairly familiar with them. And, I've been quite enjoying ridiculous amounts of email going back and forth between people I know and am getting to know. So I'm not quite anti-social yet. :)
Have been trying to get my good luck to apply to other people lately. Too many of my friends are out of work... Not sure how well my luck directs, though. Also sending out job-finding vibes every time I think of any of the ones currently looking. Some need them more than others, though, because some can live on unemployment, and some cannot.
Tomorrow, I visit with a friend I'm trying to reconnect with, whom I've not seen in 5 years. I'm very nervous, but excited.
OK, sleep now.
