Weird weekend

Interesting weekend, I had. brought my younger sister down to RI to visit my older sister. Went to a St Patrick's day party her husband's sister puts on every year. *Very* crowded experience. I'd forgotten how much I dislike large crowds (read: any group of people too large for it to be *possible* to have everyone sitting. And I also have strong preference for interacting with people either while not standing or while not crowded).

Wasn't *too* bad, though - Snagged some quiet time away from the crowd while eating, and it was less crowded when I returned. What made it actually *fun* was the brief time when people were singing random Irish songs. I didn't know any of the songs, but was able to pick up on them well enough and quickly enough for it to not matter. I approved.
