We are all tiny bags of flesh and bone. We are all on the way to the grave, our hearts slowly exhausting themselves one heartbeat at a time. Our lives here are short, and you fucking give the love you have to give right now, goddammit.

Because they might not be around tomorrow to hear it. So do it while you're still upright and on the earth, okay?

People at Psinging tonight? Don't be surprised if my greeting/parting hugs are more intense than normal. It seems... right.

Yeah. This is something that's being pounded into my head these days, starting with the death of my housemate's mom. Maybe I need to put aside my fear and start saying the things to people I always tuck away.

Yes. Because as life keeps demonstrating to me, fears that are strong enough to control one's behavior are probably blown _way_ out of proportion.
