Best followup question: when did i last get squished in the full-body lying on top of me, possibly both hands on the side of my head holding me together kind of way?

I really do need Temple Grandin's hug machine. Except, a squishing machine, instead.

Sometimes, i really wonder what other people do as their variation of squishing, if they even have one. (sex has a... somewhat similar effect on my stress levels, but they are not replacements for each other)

Mmm! Point, yes. That works less well, but definitely helps if I'm really bad off. Under beds, if I can fit, also works. :)

I do this too, generally in the notch between a bed and a wall. Hadn't really thought about it in squishing terms, though--interesting thought!

(Generally I interpret it as more like how I imagine cats feel when they find a hiding spot that is only barely tall enough for them to lurk in and be protected from Death From Above.)
