So, it's been long enough since my last class that I have brain space again! This is fabulous.

This year has been full of class and rather less work on my thesis than I would have preferred.

Some time spent in the garden in order to keep myself sane (also because garden!) means that we have fewer of the annoying tall yellow asters that we had too many of last year. Also, fewer weeds. And a raised bed with green leafiness. Tomato plants planted, cucumber seeds and last year's overwintered pepper plant in the ground. Pimiento babies still very young, as are some of my tomato plants. Many seeds scattered in places I cleared out, in the hopes that pretty things grow. Many birds, including robins, catbirds, sparrows, chickadees, cardinals, mourning doves, and possibly house wrens. Also, bunnies which appear to be unwilling to risk the onion family and radish plants to eat the lettuces. Many pea plants. Waltham Garden Club had their yearly plant sale, which was earlier, and therefore much more sold, than last year. I hope the fig trees stop having leaf spots from the excessive humidity; I pulled the mulch away farther from their bases in case that would help.

Went to Brandeis Lavender Graduation with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker, and had a fabulous time. Also, strongly reminded that I miss having a glbt alphabet soup group very much, so perhaps next year I will volunteer. And see how much the typical reaction to bisexuality has changed in such groups since I was in one. Also, see how they react to poly.

Been more aware of my lack of a girlfriend, perhaps in part due to the lavender graduation. So, in part because of that, have been looking for and watching decent lesbian movies on Netflix streaming. Because, well, there don't tend to be reasonable bisexual movies, or poly ones (and My Girlfriend's Boyfriend lies about being poly, both in the title implication and the cover photograph. Sadness). And finding decent lesbian movies on Netflix just seems more probable.

Also, it's spring, so there are both more women with fewer clothing layers and more awareness on my part. Cute women, yay! Even if most of them are probably straight. And even fewer are likely to be ok with poly. *sigh* OKQ may still prove helpful for meeting people, at any rate, right? :)

Recently went to Sheep shearing at Gore Place with [livejournal.com profile] galaneia, and we ran into [livejournal.com profile] omly and family (whose lj names either fail to come to mind or do not exist, respectively - I am writing this on the train to porter, you see!) and had a fabulous time both hanging out with them and spending time just the two of us.

We also went to the steam punk festival, after [livejournal.com profile] galaneia was kind enough to start teaching me how to start and stop her standard car. That was a stressful experience, but not as bad as it might have been, in part because she found a reasonably flat surface for me to learn on. Then, ice cream and randomly running into [livejournal.com profile] metahacker repeatedly during the festival.

Recent psinging, my first in months. Possibly since before my semester started. No [livejournal.com profile] randysmith there, but we ran into him at the aforementioned festival.

Going to try to be a bit more social, both due to season and to not having classes. Mind you, thesis first draft being due July 1st does still mean I need to focus on that. Which, mind you, is going well. Much data analysis which I need to interpret and stick into my results, and more data analysis still to go. Some touch ups on my initial proposal so as to allow it to become my thesis. Did you know that it's really difficult to make graphs and tables of your data such that other people - or even you, later - can follow them?

House is still a fabulous house. Roof work this spring, due to both [livejournal.com profile] jasra and [livejournal.com profile] metahacker putting in a lot of work. [livejournal.com profile] metahacker in process of making the space around his bed darker to improve his sleep. Also, roof work should help with the leak in his ceiling. We have one of two water barrels adjusted to handle the amount of water we could get and in place, and the other needs a bit more work before it can be put back into service.

Fishes are still fishes. A couple of the big ones didn't make it over the winter. I suspect the raccoons we had. We have about 10 little black ones most of which really should have new homes, and 8 colorful ones. Also, the adults are totally breeding again, which means we will have many more to give away.

Kitty is also still a kitty. A purry, often begging for food, very soft kitty. Also, kitty.

The weather is lovely. Lots of rain for the plants, and now sun. Happy happy sun.

Much good talkings with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker of late, in part to make up for my complete lack of brain and awareness all school year, and good time spent with [livejournal.com profile] galaneia. Should get to see [livejournal.com profile] jasra tomorrow night. Trying to visit with some other people with whom plans have been pending, as well. :)

Um. Things, stuff. More brain, sun, gardening, people. Yay!
