[jet lag]

Jet lag appears to present itself - at least in me - as the simultaneous states of utter and complete exhaustion, and the inability to actually get to (and stay) asleep that I already have trouble with all too frequently. I just spent _way_ too much time during dinner with [livejournal.com profile] dancingwolfgrrl yawning incessantly and being all glazed over and too damn tired to read the menu. And yet now, I'm not tired enough to sleep. Shall try melatonin again tonight, but in an hour, since trying to go to bed at 9pm last night wasn't particularly useful an idea.

It also feels an awful lot like being sick, especially since insufficient sleep tends to cause me head and muscle aches.

On the plus side, I get to investigate the possibility of sleep apnea on Thursday morning, with an early morning doctor's appointment.

I can_not_ imagine being someone who travels for business and therefore deals with jet lag constantly. Athough I suppose it wouldn't be too bad east->west coast, since that part wasn't too difficult. Even if I had had to go to work while in SF, I'm not sure it would have been bad, since I'd have been awake during business hours either way.

Daaaaazed. And mostly incoherent.

La! Oh! I get to use my exhausted user pic. :) The thing about the last trip to California - this picture was taken on the way home - is that I never adjusted to the time zone, so no jet lag on this end.

I feel like my brain is full of lots of small buzzing insects. I'm not actually _thinking_, but it's not quiet, either.
