Back on the other coast, I am. I can't decide if I'm tired or not, although the fact that it was pitch dark out an hour or two ago does at least give useful signals to my brain.
I'd apparently forgotten how _strange_ the Boston accent is, as it was a bit jarring to hear it on the commuter rail on the way home.
My kitty, once he figured out I was home - I think he was asleep under the covers in my bed - had the saddest lost kitten meow ever. I've never heard him make it before. Poor kitty... I've not been gone for that long for the two years I've had him; he may have thought he was abandoned (he appeared to think that when I was away at work each day, the first few months I had him). Really wondering how he'll cope with me gone for 4 times that long in about a year from now!
It's dark out and there _are no clouds_. And it's not raining. 'Course, it's also much colder here! (although not as much as I'd have expected - it was 50s when I landed, and 40s when I got home) And the snow has, as I was led to believe, mostly melted. So no digging my car out. :)
My roommate is sick. I must remember to take immune boosters, since traveling tends to make me more susceptible to illness.
Hmm. Yeah, I think I might be getting tired, although certainly not enough to sleep yet. I _must_ set my alarm for fairly early tomorrow to try to make it reasonably possible for me to get to work Monday at a sane time. Must go through my snail mail. I don't seem to have sufficient energy to be as social as reading my email feels, so it shall continue to wait (my poor email must feel neglected!).
Very good vacation. I am pleased. I don't remember when the last time it was that I spent more than about a weekend at an entirely new location to me. (ok, in effect, entirely new. I'm unconvinced that less than 24 hours counts)
And it did not take me _nearly_ as long to adjust to a new public transit system as I'd expected. Yay familiarity with public transit (in general), and not having driven for over a week!
