Spring!

Allergies: I do appear to have them! Weirdness. Watery eyes (causing the skin around my left eye to be irritable), sniffles & sneezing, slight headache, and foggy brain. And also [livejournal.com profile] jasra's allergy meds helped last time I tried. So at some point I should figure out what I'm allergic _to_, and also get some allergy meds of my own.

So strange.

But it's nice out today, and I'm _so_ going for a walk at lunchtime. And depending on just how warm, may have lunch outside.

I consider changing away from my boots back to sneakers, but am unsure if that is wise. It is only nearly April... snow is still possible!

As long as OTC allergy meds work fine, I wouldn't be too concerned. Personally, I'd get allergy tested cuz I like to know specifics, but that's me. :) I'd go with you and hold your hand if you wanna get skin tested.

knowing specifics: Just so. :)

Hand-holding: Mmmm... yeah, I'd like that.

My own was simply because I don't have any of your crazy dissolvey tablets, and I would like some. :)

I concur with [livejournal.com profile] jasra: knowing the specifics doesn't usually get you much, as it's not like one can really avoid pollen or dust or whatnot :) And the tests are really kinda unpleasant: thirty-something pinpricks followed by the same number of subdermal injections! So if you can adequately control symptoms with Zyrtec or Claritin or something, you might as well enjoy not having to have them :)

Hmm! Cripes. Did not realize. :)

Yeah, they do not rock! They also give you a "positive control," which means they inject you with histamine and tell you not to itch it!

I may be extra-cross because I had the full battery and what I learned is that I'm not allergic to anything they test for, though. (I'm definitely allergic to something, but you can't get serum for shots unless they can figure out what it is, so I'm stuck fooling around with OTC, prescription, and alternative stuff until I get an acceptable level of symptom control.)

This entry (http://dancingwolfgrrl.livejournal.com/330740.html) contains a picture of my arm on allergy tests.

You have really bad timing

If you had put this post up last year I would have not even blinked. But considering I'm in the middle of a Pharmacology class which outlines the dangers of any meds (even OTC) I would have to caution you. Please Please Please don't take others meds. <--Sorry getting off soapbox now.

...

They're OTC.

I'm not taking anyone else's scripts.

Yeah, I remember that entry.

And yeah, I doubt it matters if OTC stuff works (as it does seem to do). :)
