So, Ash has lost patience with taking the pills straight (spat it back at me multiple times), so I ended up crushing up and mixing it up with his wet food. That appears to have worked; I just hope that he doesn't decide that he pill(s) make it taste too strange and start refusing his wet food.

Also ought to be interesting figuring out how to crush up the aspirin, since it's coated and slow release... I find out tomorrow, apparently.

I do wish that Ash liked more treats. He pretty much only likes wet food and people food (shrimp and chicken, most strongly). He has no idea why anyone would like so-called kitty treats, and doesn't even think they are food.

My experience with cats is fairly wide but not limitless. I think, however, that there is every possibility that he will go on eating his food containing the crushed-up tablets. The usual reaction is immediate kitty outrage when this isn't going to work.

True, but he took three days to decide plain pills wasn't ok with him. (That's probably how long his 'humans are strange, and mom especially so' feelings were able to excuse it)

All we can do is hope he categorises crunchy pill bits in his lunch differently from Mom prizing his jaw open and sticking things down his throat, which wasn't funny three times...
