wispfox: (pissed off)

So, I was informed this morning that the place I moved my car to is not somewhere I can park, and is a towing risk. So, I can actually get out of the spot, even with snow and ice, but I'm not allowed to park there overnight. Even though there's no signs saying so. I was given a number to call as far as who owns the spots, but there is no one - not even an answering machine - answering the number. I begin to doubt that it's actually a useful number.

Thus, I get to start looking for somewhere else to park, _now_, rather than in the Spring.

Thus far, the search is _not_ going well. I'm going to be really annoyed if I have to move because I have nowhere to park! *sigh* Fucking Andover parking...

edit: talked to my landlord. He says that ~15 feet out from the back of the building is his, so I (and probably one other person) should be able to park there. I'm wary, since that lot - although not that specific spot - is where I got towed from the first night I lived in my current apartment. But, he said that if I get towed he'll do something about it. So that's my current hope. Will investigate tonight.

Are you sure that the person telling you this was being honest, and not just trying to reserve themselves a space through lies and fibbing?

Sure? No. And I'm aware of this fact.

Very high likelyhood of the possibility, though. Parking in downtown Andover is _HELL_. And I was towed my first night living in this apartment, so I'm more than a bit wary of that. $100 to get my car back is not cheap!

Try asking the local cops, or whoever gets the towing done if it's not the cops. They'll be able to give you a definite answer, I'd think.

*nod* It just seems suspicious that there are no signs and the number doesn't work, y'know?

Point, although the local cops are probably not the ones who would be towing from a private lot (and tend to laugh - effectively - when asked about parking overnight in my area), and I suspect there is more than one towing company in the area. Shall investigate.

That said, my landlord is doing what he can. See edit.

It rings, just no one answers. And yes, it does seem suspicious. Very much so!
