For some reason this quote reminds me of one of the death scenes in Morgengrauen (one of the larger text-based MUDs in Germany).
It goes like this: Suppose you're climbing along in the mountains. You're not used to the height, so as you're standing on top of a large cliff you slip and fall down.
*death* Smurf was just killed falling down a cliff.
*a cliff* Hey! That's unfair! While he was falling, he was still alive.
*death* OK, OK, OK ...
*death* Smurf was just killed by the rocks at the bottom of a cliff.
*the rocks* We got another one. Will they ever learn?
