So. Almost exactly a week to the hour after I started feeling _really_ crappy at work, I feel healthy again.

Almost a month from the end of the summer from hell, work-wise, I am recovered (which, considering that my boss told me to take a month's break from the stuff which was causing the hell, is fascinating). Almost certainly aided by my body forcing me to take a break.

I was happy for no particular reason this late afternoon/evening. It's disturbing to me that it has apparently been long enough since that was true that this felt noteworthy!

But. It _was_ a rough summer, work-wise. Also personally, although there was certainly a major amount of positive in there, too! *waves at [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe*

Then again, it's been a rough year. Although not quite as rough, on the whole, as the summer was. It's odd having had _summer_ be the more difficult time of year for me!

Alright, whoever wished me to have an interesting life needs to stop. This past year has been a little bit _too_ interesting, I think!

For once, Samhein (sp?) really _has_ felt like the change-of-year point for me. Certainly was the start of this past year of... interesting. Perhaps this one will be similarly change-of-year. Hopefully in a more calm and more overall _positive_ manner.

...

I simultaneously hope not and really, really doubt it. :)

Alas, I suspect that winter will still suck. This past summer just had a startling amount of suck in it.

Samhain, and it actually hasn't happened yet ;)
(It's on or around Oct 31 -- the one we just passed, the fall equinox, is sometimes familiarly known as Mabon.)

I know it hasn't yet. Last year is the one that felt change of year for me. :)

No...

I do, but just not _constantly_!
