That silly LJ crush thingy going around right now - I'd do it, if it would _let_ me. But it appears to hate me. I realize that, like the last one, it may happen that the info gets sold again. But I totally don't care who knows.

Is ok, I think I have a crush FSVO crush on at least half my friends list (probably more, because I tend to gravitate toward people who fascinate the hell out of me). The value of crush I would probably use if it ever _lets_ me, includes wanting to eat people's brains, thinking they are just utterly nifty, and similar, and may or may not have anything to do with actually having sexual interest in them to a degree where I would ever act on it. Yes. Then again, people who I _do_ have sexual interest in tend to _know_ this, because I tend to tell people things when I think they need to know them.

[edit] (oh, look. It's working...

*0IZZXYZS3RN9RUKAALHC1AIRJXBR2FKL*)

[another edit] That was amusing. Not quite half my friends list, but still a ridiculous number. Seems to entail some very strange combination of people I feel like I know enough to crush on them and _not_ people I know too well to crush on them. Oddly, it also seems to still be possible to know someone really well and crush on them, in my head. I think it's mostly about types of connections, and how well I can read a person, actually. Gods, my brain is weird.

*smooch* We're mutual!

I had a hell of a time getting on there this morning too.

I'm trying to figure out how to categorize crushes. I mean, I have people who I adore flirting with who I wouldn't actually *do* anything with. And on the other end of the spectrum, I have *partners*.

I put up names. Then I deleted them, deciding that it wasn't worth the effort of trying to define crush or having to explain what it meant for each person. But, yes - mutual!

I'm trying to figure out how to categorize crushes.

I decided to stop trying. :)

I have people I flirt with, people whose brains I want to consume (aka delve into), people who just generally fascinate me, people who I have interest in but no time, people I'm dating, and a partner. Hell, I have some people in my crush list that I've not _met_ yet.

also...

*smooch* We're mutual!

This is news? ;)

I _think_ that all of those I put up are people who I can read well enough (as that seems to be part of my crush criteria), so I don't mind explaining which of my various crush categories they fall under.

But, yes - mutual!

I'm actually not surprised at all. ;)

Yeah, like, Xtina? Brain-consumey crush. Lots of others like that. But I fret that if I put someone like that on my crushlist and it's mutual, that they'll get the idea that I wanna schtup then.

If people don't _ask_ you, it's their fault what they end up assuming. Besides, you could just _say_ that crush != wanting to schtup people! It's certainly the case for me, and I _did_ basically say that in the post this comment is attached to. :)

I don't really wanna have to post a thingy in my journal, plus I think these "Crush" memes are silly in just the way you described.

For the record, I think you're shiny (yes, actually visually, not metaphorically) :)

Shiny! Yay! (and yes, that's mutual)

(wait - I'm literally shiny? That sounds odd. ;)

Well, you might be shiny in other ways too, but I'm not the one to ask about that. *smirks and points at partner and dating peoples mentioned above* Ask them.

not radiant, not sparkly, but shiny

I am a synesthete, so there are a lot of VERY ODD things that happen sensorially in my head. Sometime I should explain some of it to you.

Aaaaaah...

Y'know, that's always sounded neat to me. And, to some _very_ small degree, I have it happen that with some sounds, I also see things. I like. :)

Reflections = distracting, also, yes.

Or was that not what you were saying?

Mmm. Yes. But it's much more difficult to get them out if they are pre-scrambled!
