Jul. 10th, 2004 03:22 pmSo, I have pics of myself in the dress
aelisdeliria made me. One has me in my circlet (not made by her), and two have me in the necklace she also made me. Knowing people who make nifty stuff makes me happy, and paying them to make nifty stuff (and therefore helping them survive because of what they make) also makes me happy!

Date: 2004-07-10 07:58 pm (UTC)My tired mind is doing strange things with the last picture because of your position in front of the satellite dish. Despite my having looked at the other pictures containing the satellite dish, it took me a moment to realize that's what it is in the last picture.
As you might expect from me, I like the first picture. :)

Date: 2004-07-11 04:57 am (UTC)The circlet with the satellite dish in the background works quite well...

Date: 2004-07-11 03:41 pm (UTC)Yep! She does. Doesn't currently have access to a behaving sewing machine, as mine isn't behaving, but she also does stuff by hand.

Re: purple velvet...
Date: 2004-07-11 03:43 pm (UTC)At least part of the fabric used was stuff I already had, which helped reduce the cost. Yummy purple velvet! (A bit too warm for the day during which the pictures were taken, however)

*nods* Unfortunately my undergrad friends who made lots of jewelry (red and blue and hematite/silver *bounces*) are far away. But that gives current friends and I a chance to play with beads and make stuff for us.
Necklace is too small/vague to see well, but looks potentially interesting. Circlet is shinnnyyy, and according to comment above, is apparently moonstone. Shinnnyyyyy.
