"Not silly until proven silly" is _not_ a valid argument. How does one prove silliness?!

(hi. Yes, my brain is dripping into my LJ. I also have an awful lot of verbal pings, which I didn't really notice until commented upon. hi (and variations), meow (and variations), boo (sorry, no variations here), various questioning looks which aren't so much verbal but are certainly in-person, and there are probably more. Neat!)

In a way, it thrills me. I knew about the rape and the murder and about her mind spiralling down after Airenn's, and that then there was war - but I did not know the rest of it until it started pouring through me today.

Well, isn't an easy way to prove silly just to declare in a firm clear voice, "I am silly!" Most non-silly people don't want to be perceived as being silly and self-perception is the root of

The easiest way to do that is to ask the word or action if they are silly. If they don't respond with statements to the effect of "No, I'm a serious word" or "How dare you? I am a no-nonense action!" then you can assume they are silly and act accordingly.
