For lo, I am too literal!

I do forget, sometimes, that I am perfectly capable of _really irritating_ people by being too literal at them. Usually this happens while they are telling a joke (and usually I'm alert enough to realize no really, it's a joke, don't interrupt!).

Also, realized last night that I'm having trouble falling asleep due to congestion, and I really need to take cold meds at night so I sleep! *sneepy*

why is it that it's much easier to compare things which are side-by-side than higher or lower on a page? separate pages are easier side-by-side than vertically, too. why? Or is it just me? there's two reasons I print things. this, and the ability to highlight/take notes.

this brought to you by my irritation that chronic lack of sleep, mild illness, mild depression, and being overwhelmed are not, for me, easily distinguishable states (and being interrlated and thus any tending to worsten the others _does not help_!). I think I am all three except depressed right now.

but there are cold meds which I will take at bedtime, not midnight.

and then maybe tomorrow having things I need to do won't seem like a horrible weight on my very existence!

I'm happy that my hand seemed like a good place to land. But, um, if I don't actually _see_ you, and notice a sudden weight on my hand, I _will_ start flinging my hand around to get whatever it is off! (on the plus side for both of us, even if I were someone likely to try to kill bugs that land on me, being allergic to stinging insects means that my instinct is _not_ to squash things)

Much to the amusement of everyone else at the table, and my disappointment once I realize what was on my hand that I did not even see!

But, um, if I don't actually _see_ you, and notice a sudden weight on my hand, I _will_ start flinging my hand around to get whatever it is off! (on the plus side for both of us, even if I were someone likely to try to kill bugs that land on me, being allergic to stinging insects means that my instinct is _not_ to squash things)
