Holy _shit_ [livejournal.com profile] majes knows a lot of people. Thankfully, I knew a bunch of them, as well. One, even, which I've not seen in about a year and a half (which was the first time I met her). Yay, nifty people!

Mike's Hard Limeade is decent, although still not an alcoholic beverage I'd seek out (no, this is not a request, but I had yet to find any that I would seek out). _Almost_ couldn't taste the alcohol. Probably because there isn't that much in it! Have determined that drinking one of those can reduce my 'aaaah! Too many people!' reactions. Of course, that may also have been relating to the fact that I had people I at least somewhat knew who were nifty to talk to.

Stayed 6 hours. About 5 more than I expected to, even considering that last night I was in bed - either sleeping or dozing - for almost 12 hours. That does help improve my mood immensely, I note.

Bringing a book so I could hide in the corner while the few people I knew there who were likely to be randomly chatty at me were otherwise occupied also helped, or I'd have left after the first hour. Book good. Not feeling utterly ridiculous reading a book at a party also good - this is the first time I've done it and not felt bad about it.

Sleep now. Good party! Sorta sad I needed to leave when I did, but ah well. Multiple yawns in a row means I need to go home. Even though there was crash space available, I sleep (much) less well when not at home, and this is not the time of year to be fucking with my sleep.
