http://www.sff.net/people/nalo/writing/fiction/daughter.html - I don't remember anything about this (who pointed to it, who wrote it, nothing), but I _liked_ it. Read! It's short.

4 weeks and two days! (what? I didn't want to wait till Weds and just '4 weeks')

Also... a week and 5 days! (I should have said two weeks on Saturday)

[livejournal.com profile] hawkegirl and family are nifty, as always. And there was an unexpected 'open on Solstice' present.

There was 'gleegum' in the mail when I got home, for myself and [livejournal.com profile] aelisdeliria from [livejournal.com profile] nex0s. Gum of glee! *amused and pleased*

I could _NOT_ get up this morning. And, of course, now I'm not tired. Shall attempt sleep after this, anyway.

There are a lot of travel-related books in my apartment. This simultaneously does not help my wanting to explore lots and lots and makes it a little easier to be patient (because I can do some very basic planning).

Must do laundry tomorrow! Donwanna. Hate laundromats. But laundry needs to be clean!

Hard drive at work died on me. Had to reinstall and get everything all set up again (thankfully, I save most of my stuff - all important stuff - to an nfs-mounted partition). And when I logged out, it was behaving oddly. I hope I can get it to a sane state tomorrow. *sigh*

Head hurts. Don't know why. Annoying, but not really much more than a distraction. Has hurt all day.

I miss [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe! (neither news nor new, but I'm saying it anyway)

Sleep.
