[this was a PS to the post I posted to alt.poly, and I felt like sharing. Yes, I am repetative, but not everyone I know reads in both places! Or, for that matter, either place. Ah, email... :)]

I find it very interesting that in person interactions with people that I like makes me *much* more likely to want to continue interacting with them. So, whomever I've seen the most recently (in this case, why I'm posting so much in alt.poly right now) are most likely to get random email from me. Does tend to make my email rather sporatic, especially if I don't see a person often. Although, if it's someone who I hear from regularly (or at least frequently) enough, having mail waiting to be replied to can counter the effect of long delays between in person interactions.

And, oddly, anyone I see daily (roommates, co-workers) are the most likely to need to schedule social time with me, because they are the least likely to get into my 'I have not seen them in a while' filter, such that I feel the need to ping them. Probably why it can be very bad for someone I live with to also be a co-worker! Unless they have no problem pinging me about such, or aren't home much or around me much at work...
