Ok, being wide awake at 5am is _very_ _annoying_, especially after going to bed at around 11:30p. I don't even have any idea why!

(incientally, I tend to take ~1 hour or so to fall asleep, so it's more like 4.5, not 5.5, hours)

That's less good. Can you afford to conk out at 3pm today? Though I'm not sure that a nap would help adjust, it might become necessary...

I usually end up reporting my estimated sleep time, because it can take me 30-90 minutes to fall asleep, and then there's the 30 minutes in the morning when I'm not really sleeping, so 11 to 7:30 is actually only 6-8 hours depending. Also it gets more sympathy. :)

If a nap becomes necessary to the point of it making me unlikely to be able to sleep tonight, I'll do so (I have no plans today), but I prefer strongly to avoid doing that. I'd like to try to get into a reasonable schedule as soon as possible. Working from home tomorrow, so it won't be awful if not, but after that, from work.

I report my estimated sleep time because listing the times I go to bed is never useful - people tend to expect to fall asleep immediately, apparently, and I just don't _do_ that. Possibly when I'm very sick, but that's about it.
