Then again, the sincerity of "I love you" depends on context. I never did place much store by the Oriental bar girls who'd plop themselves in my lap and say, "You number one American GI I love you no shit buy me drinkee?"

See, I _don't_ hear that phrase - that specific phrase - in terms of it's original meaning. So I had not thought of that. And were someone to say it to me, I'm fairly sure I would hear it as 'I love you', and not as them doing something because I want it. So... interesting.
