I'm all in favor of open source government. There's lots of times I wished I could just do a quick hack of the source code and get something working.
I wonder a lot more about how "open soul" would work? Could you splice in whatever beliefs you wanted to? Would be there be a moderating committee to approve changes? If not, imagine the editing wars when both the radical pagans and the fundamentalist christians start making changes. And UUs trying to create a compromise version. . . .
