[planning.long-term, places.au]

I win the internet! Or something.

"Today we have received your positive skill assessment certificate. Your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under the ASCO code: 2231-15 Computer Professional (Software Designer).

Your Advisor will be in touch with you shortly to inform you on how we will be proceeding from here."

(not that I have any idea why I got labeled software designer instead of software tester)

Now, to start the Visa application process...

(why do I have no icon equivalent of 'YES!'?)

Is this the right chart to figure out roughly how long they'll take to get back to you?

Yes?

But first I have to send in the application. :)

(and my migration people say anywhere from 9-12 months)

Yay for immigration successes!

Thank you. :)

Mew! (yeah, what's with this setting down roots in a place that I am planning to leave? *conflicted reactions*)

That's very cool! Hooray for adventures! Oh, and I love the Chihiro icon, it's beautiful. :)

Doubt they have a separate category for software tester, they might consider it to be part of the "develop a piece of software" process.

Interesting that I find myself slightly nervous. 8-) I totally know you are not thinking of Australia just because of me, and you've now said you'd probably still be doing it anyway without me. Perhaps I am slightly sensitive to Americans moving to Australia to be with me now... not sure. 8-/

Still, I know you were stressed about uncertainty and delay, and this clears some of it up, so yay!

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2007-10-23 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Now said? I've said since I first started talking about this that I was not doing it for you. I do not move for other people, I move for me. (sometimes there are other people there which adds to the goodness of the moving)

"Now" in a very general sense meaning "when I spoke to you about this, probably a couple of years ago". 8-)

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh. You have some strange concept of 'now' that I'd not previously encountered. ;)

"Now" meaning "this is the current state", I think was how it worked for me.
