Apparently one can now get a copy of one's credit report from each of the three reporting companies, for free, once a year.

They don't give you the scores, though. But it's getting easier to correct errors.

The errors are the vast majority of why I find it useful, yes.

And the scores aren't costing much ($6? I think?), to get with the report.
