I assert that Randy is right here, and I have an actual degree in linguistics. :P There is no way to wrest the definition of "harem" away from the way it is used in your social circle in a way that will let you escape.

I was actually being true to my gut use of the word (see my response to your later post). Not that I'm claiming any moral superiority here--I would have changed my definition in a second if it had started not applying. But as it happened I was accidentally virtuous :-}.
