Now I can't decide if they were a) playing follow the leader, and the leader was a horribly manipulative, suicidal sheep, b) thought that jumping off a cliff looked like fun, c) were really tired of their lives, d) knew something _horrible_ was coming and preferred death... Weeeeeeird.

Then again, that's the same viewpoint that says that life is invariably fatal.
I'm working to change that last one or die trying.

I demanded of one of my friends that they outlive me. They replied that they wouldn't promise to do things they couldn't control. My reply, "Promise on your life?"
They'll keep that promise or face the consequences!
