My apartment is _far_ too empty of people right now. Meh. Much moping, here.

But [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya, tomorrow. And for much of the rest of the week. Then I go to NYC, and she moves out.

Unrelatedly, does anyone local to the Boston area have a blacklight that I can borrow? I wish to make sure that there are no traces of the previous tenants' misbehaving animals for my cat to decide are threats to his territory and thus need to be peed upon. I suspect part of the strong scent of the place right now is chemical, although not all.

I will also need many, many fans. Big ones, to move air between rooms, as well as in and out windows. My _god_, that apartment gets hot... also, air conditioners. I have one. I will probably want at the very least one for each bedroom, once the 'gah! low on funds!' thing stops being such a problem.

Wall of heat when I walk up the stairs into the apartment isn't so nice. Probably, the fact that there is a skylight in the stairwell has something to do with that. Skylight, pretty, and probably good in winter. Not so much now, though!

Must shower! Icky sweaty.

It's amusing noticing myself wanting to stop by the apartment every time I drive by the appropriate exit. And, as long as I keep filling my car with boxes (or small furniture), I will have _reason_!

Yep. Mopey.

I scanned fans wrong at first and wanted to point out that I'm utterly a fan of yours.

But then I realized that while I do have blades, they are not attached, and they do not spin, and I cannot cool your apartment.

Hee! Indeed, that is not what I meant. :)

But yay for fans of the type you interpreted! ;)

i have blades!

they aren't attached right now, but they were earlier. and the wheels on the bottom spin, even if the blades themselves don't.

but they also will not make wispfox's apartment cool. sad!

(they didn't keep me very cool today, either. sheesh. *drips*)

Hee! You people and your blades! ;)

B might have blacklights, or access to them.  I'll ask him when... uh... when're you moving?  He's in NY until Tuesday...

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I move all month.

I wish to have blacklights and Nature's Miracle to investigate evil pet urine as soon as possible, as Joe'd mentioned putting down baking powder (soda? I hallucinate. The odor eating stuff from arm & hammer) to help with odors, and I want to do _that_ after Nature's Miracle. And both, soon, so I can start moving small furniture in _soon_!

After Tues should be fine, though. :) still need to get Nature's Miracle, after all!

This is random,

but I'm still interested in going to Psinging, if that's okay. When is the next one?

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
The next one is a week from this coming Friday. I don't know if I'll be going to it, though...

Send me email (wispfox @ livejournal.com) and we can figure things out?

I have a bunch of fans and a nice vacuum. Too bad my timing isn't appropriate. I will work on that. *nod*

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you having a nice vacuum would be helpful, should you be my roommate, because it'll give me more time until I need to buy myself one. ;)

And fans are always good, even if later on!

[identity profile] australian-joe.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Mew! I douse you with cooling anti-mope.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Mew! It's cooler today. As I said, it was going to be all cloudy and cool after you'd left. ;)

Still mopey, though.

*shrug* It'll go away on its own.

(I am going to be _SO_ glad when no one is living above me. Loud people above me until midnight. Asked them to be a bit quieter, but wasn't sufficient to allow me to sleep in an entirely too empty apartment)

[identity profile] australian-joe.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The people above are louder at 2am than they are at 10pm, I've noticed.

And it's hot here. Needed a fan to sleep.

In general, or above me?

I note that they tend to be a bit loud when they're getting ready for bed, but this particular problem seemed to be that a bunch of people were watching TV (and reacting to it, and walking around a lot) until midnight.

I'm used to the walking around when getting up or going to bed thing. I can mostly cope with that.

And it's hot here. Needed a fan to sleep.

Awww. Poor! I'd offer you my weather, but we still haven't figured out how to do that. ;)

[identity profile] australian-joe.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
The people above you, specifically. It might be that your place is quieter then so I hear them more, but I hear way more walking and bustle in the 2-3 hours after midnight than in the 2-3 hours before.

I'll have my own weather soon, too. Has been in the 50s and 60s in the daytime. That sounds pretty nice!!!

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The people above you, specifically.

No... I mean... in the room immediately above me, or in the rest of the apartment?

[identity profile] australian-joe.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh!

Dunno. Certainly above the kitchen and spare room.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-06 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
*nod* Neither of those affect me, much, though. *shrug*
