Oh! Yes, that would make things more difficult. Lack of link-visibility. Is why I make sure that when I use lynx (I have little experience with links), it shows me such things. :)
links kicks lynx's ass all over the place. links can handle tables and frames, current versions do colors, and one mutation (http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~clock/twibright/links/) can do full graphical browsing on the console via framebuffer or svgalib, or X, and javascript. And current versions bold links.
